Joining process
We welcome members of all skills levels and abilities. The club has multiple routes for membership, and these depend on the level of Archery experience you have. If you are unsure which path is best for you or if have any questions at all about joining the club or anything else, please feel free to contact us.

Please have a read below and once you have decided please use the quick links above to navigate to the correct page.
Path A – Never taken part in Archery before or limited experience

Step 1: Sign up for our next have a go event (Cost is £5)
​
Step 2: Sign up for the next beginner’s course after the have a go
session. Cost is £80 (£75 If you took part in a have a go)
​
Step 3: Attend all your Beginners course sessions. 6 two-hour
sessions on Sundays for 6 Consecutive weeks.

Step 4: Upon completion of the beginner’s course, you will be awarded with a Beginner Course completion certificate signed by the club’s coaches. This will allow you to apply for full membership of the club and have use of the shooting facilities.

Path B – Taken part in Archery on multiple occasions and perhaps taken a course many years ago

Step 1: Sign up for the next beginner’s course. Cost is £80
​
Step 2: Attend all your Beginners course sessions. 6 two-hour sessions on Sundays for 6 Consecutive weeks.

Step 3: Upon completion of the beginner’s course, you will be awarded with a Beginner Course completion certificate signed by the club’s coaches. This will allow you to apply for full membership of the club and have use of the shooting facilities.

Path C – Experienced Archer with equipment and have been a member of another club previously
​
Step 1: Get in contact with the club here.
​
Step 2: Arrange for a safety assessment at the Club (Checking your ability and safety to shoot with an experienced club member/coach)
​
Step 3: If deemed safe to shoot and approved to join apply for full club membership.
​
Please Note – The minimum age is 12-years and must be able to draw a 16lb (8kg) stringed bow. All under-18-year-olds attending a course will need to be accompanied by an adult and not left unsupervised.​
